Flowering plants and pollinating insects co-evolved together for around 130 million years, creating an evolutionary love story of survival. Plants shaped themselves with colors, scents, even vibrations to attract pollinators, while bees adapted to feed on pollen and nectar from plants. It isn't until 2007 that the survival of pollinators is most threatened. Human choices are affecting them. What can we do to help them? There are easy ways we all can.
In The Brilliance of Honeybees you'll see how ~

The Brilliance of Honeybees is mostly a photo book featuring macro-photos throughout 6 chapters. It begins with the flowers themselves, their colors, scents and ingenious design for attracting pollinators, and then we step into the secret world of pollination. From there, we'll peek inside the hive to see how honeybees live and work together, then look outward to the hidden dangers in our soil. water, and air that can hurt their growth. In the final chapters, we'll explore natural ways to heal the land and restore balance so pollinators, birds and beneficial insects can thrive.

At the end of each chapter are a few sections for fun ways to learn;
"Notes from laura's garden" offers a personal view from my home.
Then "Plant this thought" shares simple, powerful steps anyone can take to become a 'guardian of the garden' wherever you live ~
